1. An emulsion is a very fine dispersion of one liquid in another with which it is immiscible.

Polyvinyl acetate has been available commercially.
The monomer also copolymerizes with vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride, alkyl moleates and fumarates. There are also many other commanonomers too numerous to name. A relatively new development has been in the copolymerization of vinyl acetate with ethylene. These are either emulsions or solid polymers.
