The manufacturing process involves treating raw cotton through a series of operations that make it hydrophilic, remove external impurities, and provide the required softness, purity, and absorbency.
The product is required to be chemically inert, soft, and non-irritating to ensure safe usage in hospitals, nursing homes, dispensaries, and other healthcare facilities. Absorbent cotton is also used in conventional sanitary napkins, cosmetic applications such as removing makeup and dirt, tailoring, and artistic products.
