An unboxing video is mandatory to avail any return, replacement, or refund on physical books. Requests submitted without a clear, uninterrupted unboxing video will not be processed, regardless of the reason for the claim.
1. Physical Books
Eligibility
Returns and refunds apply only to physical books purchased directly from shop.eiriindia.org, and only in these two cases:
- The book arrives damaged
- The wrong book was delivered
No other reason qualifies for return, exchange, or refund.
Return Window
All claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery, along with the mandatory unboxing video. No request will be accepted after this window, without exception.
What Qualifies as Damage
Only the following are covered - and each must be clearly visible in the unboxing video and/or supporting photos:
- Severe spine damage causing pages to come apart
- In-transit damage (corner bends, minor dents, or cover scratches are not covered)
Claims that do not meet these thresholds, or that lack a valid unboxing video, will be rejected.
Refund Terms (If a Claim Is Approved)
- Return shipping is arranged and paid for by the customer.
- Original shipping charges are non-refundable and will be deducted from the refund.
- If a discount, promo code, or coupon was applied at purchase, the refund reflects that adjusted (discounted) amount - not the list price.
- Refunds are processed only after the returned book is received and inspected by our team.
- Returned books must be in original condition and suitable for resale.
- Approval of any return, replacement, or refund is at the sole discretion of ENGINEERS INDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE after review.
2. Project Reports & E-Books
Project Reports and E-Books are strictly non-returnable and non-refundable, under any circumstances, due to their digital nature and immediate access upon purchase. We do not process returns, exchanges, or refunds for these products for any reason, including change of mind, dissatisfaction, or technical issues on the customer's end.

3. General Conditions (Applies to All Claims)
- Claims must be reported within 48 hours of delivery. Requests after this period will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- A valid unboxing video is mandatory for all physical book claims.
- Clear photographs and full order details must accompany every request.
- We do not entertain claims for:
- Normal wear and tear
- Minor packaging damage that doesn't affect the product
- Requests missing the unboxing video
- Requests raised after the 2-day window
- All approvals are at the sole discretion of ENGINEERS INDIA RESEARCH INSTITUTE and are final.
