It needs to be well noted and understood that a detergent is a surfactant mixture with cleansing properties in different dilute solutions. These substances are usually alkylbenzene sulfonates that are similar to compounds of soap and are known to be soluble in hard water. Soda ash is known to be used in manufacturing of various kinds of industrial products, soaps, chemicals, glass and detergents. Soda ash is known to be found in mineral deposits as well as mineral waters of lake brines as well as certain springs. The most common source of soda ash is trona which is a mix of sodium bicarbonate, sodium carbonate as well as water.
